It seems that the Democratic party has started to open their eyes and realize their mistakes, after suffering a humiliating loss during the 2016 presidential elections. The party is now doing everything in its power to distance itself from toxic liberal voices, starting with the worst ones, Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.
The latest Democratic congressional candidate to throw Pelosi under a bus of criticism was Paul Davis who announced his opposition against Pelosi during his campaign kickoff event, noting that Pelosi’s unpopularity is becoming a serious issue.
Davis said, “This is a broken Congress right now, and I think the leaders of both political parties bear responsibility for that,” adding how he thinks that they need new leadership in both political parties.
“We are overdue for a new generation of leadership,” said Democrat Kenneth Harbaugh, who is running in Ohio’s 7th Congressional District when aske about the same issue.
At one point, the Democratic representatives was compared to Russian President Vladimir Putin by David Kim, who said:
“President Putin probably has a better approval rating in Georgia than Nancy Pelosi,” Kim stated.
Even Tim Ryan, when confronted with the question whether Pelosi’s brand was more toxic than President Trump’s, answered affirmative, explaining:
“You know what, the honest answer is, in some areas of the country, yes she is.”
But perhaps the strongest call for Pelosi’s retirement was when a Rasmussen poll surfaced in late June, revealing that a whooping 58% of Democratic voters expressed their belief that the party needs new leadership.
